The Municipal Courts Building downtown Houston was evacuated temporarily this morning because of a gas-like smell that officials say is moving through the city.
The evacuation happened at about 9:30 this morning, and since then the ‘all-clear’ has been given and regular operations have resumed at the courthouse.
The Houston Fire Department is working with Centerpoint to try and pinpoint where the smell is coming from. There is no shelter in place right now, and no hazardous gas has been detected.
