President Trump is Good for the Publishing Economy

Three books written recently about Donald Trump have each sold more than a million copies in the US. That's a first and certainly reflects American's fascination with their president. Thu Doan of Brazos Book Store has seen these books ‘fly off our shelves.’ “Some are a little more popular than others. I think people are really curious about their president and what people think about him.”

She says Bob Woodward's Fear has made the most buzz in the store. “More people knew about Fear because of the release of the excerpts. There were a lot more people asking about it before the book actually came out.”

The others are James Comey's A higher Loyalty and Michael Wolff's Fire and Fury. “Comey's book is still selling really well. There was a lot of attention about that book because James Comey is a big name and he represents the FBI. A lot of readers were curious to know what his thoughts were” says Doan.

The only thing left is to see how Stormy Daniels’ book does. Doan’s comment, “It would be an interesting holiday gift!”
