Moody Gardens Offering Easter Egg Hunts

Moody Gardens is offering opportunities to make Easter memories this weekend.

The Galveston attraction's annual Easter tradition, Easter in the Gardens, is Sunday. Festivities kick off at 11 a.m. with free egg hunts, games and a petting zoo.

Easter egg hunts will be staggered in four groups based on age, with each age group having two opportunities to participate in the hunt for brightly colored, candy-filled eggs.

Here is the Easter egg hunt schedule:

Egg Hunt No. 1

11 a.m.: ages 2-3 (parents allowed in this hunt)

11:30 a.m.: ages 4-5 (parents allowed in this hunt)

Noon: ages 6-7 (kids only)

12:30 p.m.: ages 8-9 (kids only)

Egg Hunt No. 2

1:30 p.m.: ages 2-3 (parents allowed in this hunt)

2 p.m.: ages 4-5 (parents allowed in this hunt)

2:30 p.m.: ages 6-7 (kids only)

3 p.m.: ages 8-9 (kids only)

Easter in the Gardens features a variety of free activities including face painting and a chance to meet and take a photo with the Easter Bunny when he hops by to join in the fun. The My First Easter photo opportunity will also be open to children ages 1 and younger.

Admission to Easter in the Gardens activities is free.
