Officials Say More Harvey Aid To Be Disbursed

Local officials say more Harvey recovery money is on the way.  Harris County Judge Ed Emmett and Mayor Sylvester Turner have announced that more than 27-million-dollars from the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund will be distributed to 28 local nonprofits.

The mayor's office says the money will help more than 12-thousand Houston-area families totaling more than 71-thousand individuals.  Following Harvey's floods, Emmett and Turner created the fund, which now totals more than 64-million dollars.
