California Senator Kamala Harris keeps her promise.
The Democrat lawmaker paid her debt to Texas Senator Ted Cruz. The two wagered on the outcome of the World Series, which the Houston Astros won over the LA Dodgers in seven games.
Harris tweeted in October, "Hey @TedCruz - when the @Dodgers bring that trophy home to the Golden State, lunch is on you, right? #WorldSeries2017."
Cruz responded, "Looking forward to enjoying some of CA's finest food courtesy of @SenKamalaHarris once the @Astros beat the @Dodgers in the #WorldSeries!"
The freshman lawmaker decked herself out in a World Series hat and Astros shirt, and delivered a gift bag containing California wine and See's Candies to Cruz' Washington office.
The Astros won their first World Series title in the franchise's 56-year history.
