Texas Athletes Make Forbes Top 100

Forbes published its annual list of the 100 top-paid professional athletes. Soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo is ranked number one again, raking in 93-million dollars in salary and endorsements. The Cleveland Cavaliers' LeBron James finished second at 86-million.

Houston Rockets star James Harden ranked ninth, making over 46-million dollars. Texas golfer Jordan Spieth finished 21st ($34.5-million), and Texas Rangers pitcher Cole Hamels was 78th ($22.7-million).

There were 32 NBA players on the list - up from 18 last year - which was also dominated by soccer players and race car drivers.

The top 100 athletes earned a collective 3.11-billion dollars.
