Harris County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management is partnering with Harris County Public Health and Houston SPCA to bring Harris County residents a new event called Smart Pawz.
Smart Pawz is a free pet preparedness event that will provide resources to help keep pets safe in the event of natural disasters and everyday emergencies.
It will take place from 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, at Houston Transtar, 6922 Katy Road.
The event is free -- and people are encouraged to bring pets that are leashed/secured and up-to-date on vaccinations.
