Suspect Charged in Subway Murder

A capital murder charge is being filed against the person accused of killing a teen inside a Houston Subway restaurant.  25-year-old Jeffrey Archangel surrendered to police on Friday for the February shooting death of Chavez High School senior Javier Flores.  As he was escorted into the police headquarters Archangel told reporters, “Sending my utmost condolences.”

On February 22 Flores was shot to death trying to protect his mom from two armed robbers when he was killed at a southeast Houston Subway.  Community activist Quanell X arranged Archangel’s surrender and says he isn't the murderer but knows who is. Quanell X claims Archangel has an audio recorded of the killer confessing.  He says he will hand the evidence over to police.
