80th Anniversary of Hindenburg Disaster

It's been 80 years since the Hindenburg disaster.  May 6, 1937, it was in flight when the German passenger airship originally named LZ 129 Hindenburg, was trying to dock at Naval Air Station Lakehurst in Manchester Township, New Jersey. That's when it caught fire, and was destroyed. With 97 on board, including 36 passengers and 61 crewmen, 13 passengers and 22 crewmen perished. A ground worker was also killed, bringing the final death toll to 36.
