New Information in Deputy Constable’s Murder

Baytown police are asking businesses near the Courthouse Annex to review surveillance tape, as they pursue leads in last week’s ambush-murder of Harris County Precinct-3 Chief Deputy Constable Clinton Greenwood.

Investigators released a series of videos; one shows a man walking briskly away from the scene.  A second video shows the suspected getaway car leaving the area.  They believe the vehicle is a black 2013-2017 Nissan Versa Note.

There is also video of a person allegedly scouting out the area on the Sunday before the murder.

Baytown Police Lt. Steve Dorris tells our TV partner Channel-2, “Obviously one of the things we want to know is which way he left. Where did he go? That's going to help us identify who he is. So it’s very important that we have that (video)… If he’s on video here in Baytown, he’s on video in other places.”

A $65,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to an arrest.

Greenwood was killed Monday as he arrived at work.  He leaves behind a wife and four children.

Authorities are still looking for a possible motive.
