The funeral of Harris County Precinct 3 Assistant Chief Deputy Constable Clinton Greenwood happens today. A public viewing will take place starting at 10a.m. at the Second Baptist Church on Woodway Drive in Houston. At 11a.m. the funeral service will begin with hundreds of fellow law enforcement officials from around Texas in attendance.
Among those is Houston Police Chief Art Acevedo who told Newsradio 740 KTRH that Greenwood was well-known and respected throughout the state.
Meanwhile local and state police continue their investigation into the ambush-style killing of Assistant Chief Deputy Greenwood in the parking lot of the Baytown annex building Monday morning. Officials say they are following up on leads but right now do not have any suspects in his murder.
There is still a $65,000 reward being offered for information leading to an arrest and anyone with information about this officer’s death is asked to call Baytown Police or Crime Stoppers
