Get cash from an ATM without using a debit card. It's a new feature to be offered at all Wells Fargo automated teller machines soon.
The ATM responds to your smart phone, sharing a one-time, eight-digit code to get your money from the machine.
Afterward, there's no lingering digital information out there to be hijacked.
Wells Fargo, with 13,000 ATMs, is the largest company yet to take the technology global.
The new process is driven by an app that Wells Fargo says 20 million users already have on their phones.
The technology is also being touted for its speed. One company says the feature shaves up to 30 seconds off the usual ATM withdrawal time.
