Tea Party activists are planning a ‘Day of Action’ in Washington today to push their message on issues like Obamacare.
Tea Party Patriots co-founder Jenny Beth Martin put this together, and told KTRH they have clear goals in mind when they march to Senate and House office buildings this afternoon.
“To make sure that they hear from us that we want the current House reconciliation bill to repeal Obamacare to actually fully repeal Obamacare,” Martin said.
Texas senator Ted Cruz will be one of the speakers today, and Martin says she is glad to have his support.
“He campaigned to repeal Obamacare. One thing that we know for certain about Ted Cruz is that he works as hard as he possibly can to keep his campaign promises,” Martin explained.
The group is also pushing for the confirmation of Judge Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court.
The weather may impact attendance today, but Martin says the most important thing is for their voices to be heard.
