The FBI arrests a Katy man who was allegedly planning to blow up government buildings.   Investigators say 38-year old Robert James Talbot, Jr. planned to rob banks to fund his “American Insurgent Movement” (AIM).

Investigators sat Talbot posted several times on the Facebook page he created, looking to recruit “like-minded individuals” interested in "walking away from your life ... to stop the regime."

Talbot was captured while allegedly on his way to an armored car robbery, with explosives in his backpack.   His arrest comes at the end of an eight-month undercover investigation by the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force.

If convicted, he faces up to 20-years in prison for the attempted robbery, and up to ten-years for each additional charge.
