Snubbed again!

Astros great Craig Biggio is kept out of baseball's Hall of Fame despite his stellar career.

Local reaction was swift and angry after yesterday's announcement.

"It's why baseball, the non-die hards like myself, hate your sport.  You've got crotchety old people who have no idea what the hell they're doing."

Sports Talk 790 host Matt Thomas says baseball writers managed to vote Atlanta Braves pitchers Greg Maddox and Tom Glavine into the Hall, along with former White Sox first baseman Frank Thomas.

Biggio fell two votes shy of the 75-percent needed for induction.

Longtime teammate and fellow Hall of Fame candidate Jeff Bagwell is outraged.

"These writers that are voting have no idea what they're voting about.  They think they do.  If Craig's not in the Hall of Fame by now there's something wrong... He's more than deserving and I feel really, really bad for him, his family, and for the organization."

Astros president Reid Ryan also tells our TV partner Local-2 he's disappointed.

"Craig's going to get in and it's unfortunate today that we're all here talking about why he didn't get in.  Next time we get together and talk about this, it will be to congratulate him for going into the Hall of Fame."

Biggio released a statement congratulating Maddox, Glavine, and Thomas for their selection, but also expressed his disappointment with the result.
