We're expecting a vote this evening -- at a national Boy Scouts meeting in DFW -- on changing the policy on gay scouts. Observers think it'll be a money decision -- but for different reasons.
Cathie Adams is president of the Texas Eagle Forum. She hopes money from gay groups doesn't influence the vote.
"As the grandmother of a scout I can tell you that there is tremendous concern when you put homosexuals as leaders or as members of the Scouts."
Noel Freeman is an attorney and president of the Houston GLBT Caucus. He thinks the Scouts can't afford to keep a discriminatory policy.
"More and more sponsors; more and more supporters of Scouting are withdrawing their support."
The Boy Scouts of America and Houston's Sam Houston Chapter declined to be interviewed for this story.
