Cher Praises Houston Police Chief For Politicizing Dead Officer

Earlier this week, after a police officer was murdered on the East side of Houston, Police Chief Art Acevedo politicized the occasion to promote his gun control agenda.

At a press conference on Monday, Acevedo told Republican Senators Ted Cruz, John Cornyn, and Mitch McConnell, "I don’t want to hear about how much they support law enforcement. I don’t want to hear about how much they care about the sanctity of lives."

He also blamed the NRA.

The Houston Police Union issued a statement condemning the top cop's inappropriate timing after Acevedo blamed Republicans and the NRA during a press conference at a local funeral home to discuss the murder of Sgt. Chris Brewster.

However, outside of Texas, Hollywood's Cher praised Acevedo for his comments.

Cher took to Twitter to call Acevedo a "hero" and said he had "the guts to call out lazy, inept politicians who put nothing on the line and do nothing but kiss a** to keep their do-nothing jobs, offer empty condolences and blame mental health."

The washed up singer has become extremely political in the later years of her life, often using social media to spread fake news and liberal propaganda. She also claims Republican voters are are "accessories to Trump's genocide."

She also claimed America needs more refugees but then criticized Trump when he said he'd send foreign migrants to Los Angeles. Cher claimed they didn't have enough resources in her city to take in more low income residents.
