Hezbollah's two favorite lawmakers promoted a cartoonist on Saturday who previously mocked victims of the holocaust.
Anti-Semitic Reps. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) and Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) shared a Carlos Latuff cartoon on Instagram. In 2006 Latuff came in second in Iran's International Holocaust Cartoon Contest.
"Latuff has a history of anti-Semitic drawings accusing Israeli lobbyists of controlling U.S. foreign policy," The Free Beacon reports. "He has also drawn criticism for invoking and minimizing the Holocaust in criticizing Israeli policies towards Palestinians. ... He also defended his second place finish in the 'International Holocaust Cartoon Contest' saying, 'I saw this contest as both a good chance for denouncing the suffering of the Palestinian people before the eyes of world public opinion ... '"
Omar and Tlaib's decision to share the cartoon sparked backlash online from users who highlighted some of the vile cartoons produced by Latuff.
