Texas Makes It Legal For Christians To Sell Fast-food & Dems Are Pissed

In the year 2019 Democrats openly support discrimination.

Sure, they'll tell you they're for equality and diversity, but that's a blatant lie.

Consider for a moment that Texas just made it legal for Christians, Jews, Muslims, Hindus & anyone else with traditional religious beliefs to sell fast food in places like airports and universities and, for some reason, this news really upsets Democrat.

The Texas Chick-Fil-A Bill, or Senate Bill 1978 as it's technically called, was designed to protect businesses from being forced out of public spaces because of their religious beliefs. More specifically, the bill prevents the government from penalizing businesses for exercising their religious rights.

If you're confused as to why this is happening, here's a quick refresher: Chick-Fil-A, a company with a history of donating to religious causes (and staying closed on Sundays), was recently barred from the San Antonio Airport, a facility that, like most airports, receives public funding to help maintain its operation. Similar bans have taken place at a short list of public universities around the country.

But why?! Well, in 2017 Chick-Fil-A donated millions of dollars to Christian organizations that LGBT advocacy groups don't agree with due to their beliefs in traditional marriage practices.  Man + Women = Marriage, according to most Christians, Jews and Muslims, but Man + Man does not, get it?

Okay, fine, so the execs at Chick-Fil-A think marriage should be between a man and a woman.Maybe you agree, maybe you don't, but one thing is for sure: you don't have to eat Chick-Fil-A if you don't like Chick-Fil-A.That seems pretty obvious, right?

No, not as obvious as you'd expect: people who don't agree with the religious practices of the people behind Chick-Fil-A have decided it's not enough to just not eat their delicious spicy chicken sandwiches and waffles fires. No, sir-e.If you're guilty of "wrong think" in the 21st century, neo-liberals and progressives will try to ban you and your company right out of our so-called free market. You can't even exist if you hold the wrong beliefs! And the Dems will come for you.

Enter the state of Texas: a place where love of capitalism & conservative Christian beliefs are common among voters & tax payers. Sure, San Antonio banned Chick-Fil-A from renting out space in their airport, but the airport isn't exactly privately owned. Airports, just like universities, get tax payer funding for things like maintenance and security.

Again, if you don't like Chick-Fil-A, go eat at Taco Bell... Or McDonalds... Or maybe give that Keto thing a try.Either way, you don't have to eat Chick-Fil-A, you just have to let them exist. That should be pretty easy to understand, right?

Wrong - Texas State Senator Borris Miles (D-Houston) told the Dallas Morning News, "The bill does nothing but target the LGBT community. It sends the wrong message that Texas discriminates, plain and simple."

So how exactly does the bill "target the LGBT community"? It doesn't. Gay people are never mentioned in the bill. The bill also doesn't discriminate - in fact, it's designed to do the exact opposite - it literally protects from discrimination.

Even still, as silly as Senator Miles' response was, it pales in comparison to some of the things left-wing journos are saying on the interwebs today.

Here's some fun headlines:

  • KTRK: Controversial 'Save Chick-fil-A' bill passes Texas House- (what's controversial about it?We're gonna let Christians and Jews sell chicken sandwiches.)
  • mySanAntonio.com: "Chick-Fil-A Bill Blasted By LGBT Lawmakers" - (really?Did they "blast" it?How interesting).
  • Vice News: "Texas Governor Risks His Laptop to Save Chick-Fil-A’s Right to Be Homophobic" - (This headline might be the silliest.Governor Greg Abbott posted a photo on Twitter of a Chick-Fil-A beverage cup sitting next to his laptop in an effort to show his support for the bill & Vice decided to mock his intelligence while also pointing out that Christians are bigots, or something like that.)

And as if the ridiculous headlines weren't enough, there's no shortage of social media users screaming with frustration at the sky as they react to the news.

One user on Twitter even called it, "State sanctioned violence against the LGBT" which sounds like a really serious problem, until you realize he's talking about the sale of waffle fries and chicken nuggets.

Amazingly, Chick-Fil-A claims they technically have no stance on this bill, either pro or con. They issued the following statement to Fox News:

“Chick-fil-A was not involved with, nor did we organize any events related to, this bill in any way. We are a restaurant company focused on food and hospitality for all, and we have no social or political stance. We are grateful for all our customers and are glad to serve them at any time. We welcome and embrace all people, regardless of religion, race, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation or gender identity.”

In all reality, the LGBT community should we grateful they have this is a problem in 2019.They can now legally get married, work anywhere they want and openly express their lifestyle without fear of being punished for their personal choices. All they have to do in return is let a Christian person quietly hold certain beliefs about marriage while feeding you delicious spicy chicken sandwiches; and most of them are completely fine with this notion. The gay community, as a whole, doesn't seem to mind that Christians exist. The people who are the most upset about this law are a loud outspoken minority, they don't by any means represent the average person, but somehow we've allowed them to hold powerful positions in political offices and academia; and that's how we got the "Chick-Fil-A Bill".

Life in 2019 never ceases to amaze me.
