Rep Omar Flip Flops on Funding TSA In Less Than One Hour

Wow.  This is a special kind of stupid.

Freshman Congressional Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn) is not a bright person.

In one day she demanded we fund the TSA (Transportation Security Administration) while also demanding we defund the TSA.

It all started on Friday when the Muslim lawmaker used Twitter to complain about TSA workers in Minnesota who haven’t received back pay due to the recent partial government shutdown.

"This is an outrage. I'm hearing from TSA workers back in Minnesota who STILL haven't received backpay after the shutdown.  All workers affected by the shutdown - including contractors - deserve backpay!

Okay, so Rep Omar supports funding the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and all of their employees (including the TSA, a division of DHS).

But wait! An hour after complaining about not receiving funds for DHS, Rep Omar hoped on Twitter again, this time proclaiming she doesn't want DHS to be funded:

"When Democrats stood our ground last month, we proved that Individual 1 does not have the public support to ram his hateful wall through Congress. Let’s stand firm: #Not1Dollar for DHS."

So now she doesn't want TSA workers to receive their pay? Which is it? The TSA, an organization created to deal with Islamic terrorism at airports, is part of DHS. If you defund DHS you're also defunding the TSA.

She flip-flopped on funding the TSA in less than one hour and she may not even realize it.

Maybe Rep Omar is just confused? Or maybe she's not confused but she assumes her supporters are all idiots so she can say anything she wants and they won't understand?

Either way, this woman is one more example of what's wrong with our government - we've placed people in charge of the system who don't even understand how the system works.
