(Houston, TX) -- Houston city officials are moving ahead with plans for a new downtown park. The Downtown Redevelopment Authority has secured a lease on a one-acre city block at Fannin and Bell, right now the site of an automotive shop and a parking lot.
The new park's features will include a dog park, a two-story café, and a game room.
There will also be a garden and lawn with a stage and a recreation area. The land is a block from the rail line, not far from the South Texas College of Law, and three blocks away from the Toyota Center.
