There they were….in the beer plaza outside Busch Stadium in St Louis…. In bright orange jerseys, the Sealy Iron Knights. My brother and sister-in-law chanced upon them, snapped the photos on my blog, and sent me to Larry Kuciemba for the story. These guys are the Texas Champion team competing this weekend in the annual Knights of Columbus slow pitch softball tournament….hoping to bring home the national title….again. The Sealy Knights have been competing for over 40 years. The current team, ages 18-40 are following the bats of their founding fathers from the 80’s and 90’s. And the tradition continues in an even younger team the Sealy Steel Knights who are also competing. The national Knights of Columbus tournament is this weekend in Highland, Illinois. Go Teams!
