Just the news I didn’t want to hear.

It starts with lack of sleep. Isn’t it enough that sleep deprivation hurts your health, your cognitive function, your weight and looks….now this?

A study suggests not getting enough sleep can turn people into social lepers.

And all it takes is a single night of cutting say a couple hours out of sleep time.

This is not good. How does it happen? First, sleep deprived men and women feel lonelier and try to avoid human contact.

And second, when they do go public, sleep deprivation makes men and women appear less approachable and attractive. It’s such a vibe that it only takes others a minute or so to feel withdrawn from these so-called “social lepers”. According to the leader of the study, the less sleep you get, the less you want to socially interact….and “other people perceive you as more socially repulsive”.
