Author Stella Parks has released a cookbook of “Iconic American Desserts” and gives credit to the Borden Company….for obvious sales reasons…of creating Key Lime Pie in 1931in New York. Folks in Key West Florida are quick to disagree. Author David Sloan has written a definitive key lime pie cookbook and says the recipe was perfected in the late 1800’s by Aunt Sally, the cook for a Key West millionaire. ummm
