When the world seems out of whack and things you count on, all upside down, sometimes a look out the window will set things right again.
Happened to me as I noticed my neighbors out last evening, playing catch with their kids. Dad and son throwing a baseball, mom and daughter throwing a softball.
I was struck by how the little girl next door has turned into a lithe and able athlete, with a really good right arm. I focused on her and told her how much impact and joy playing softball had meant to me….well into adulthood. She was polite enough to listen.
So, with hers and parental permission I’ve posted some photos, with thanks to my neighbors with showing me that, in the little things (which really are big things) all’s right with the world.
