Just because we love our Earth, doesn’t mean we aren’t interested in finding others.  And space watchers now say they’ve found 15 new planets orbiting small dwarf stars near our solar system…that is about 200 light years away.

One of the brightest of the red dwarfs called K2-155 has 3 transiting planets that are larger than our own ….making them so-called “Super Earths”.  One of them K2-155d, about 1.6 times the radius of Earth, could possibly have liquid water on its surface. That is a pre-requisite for habitation.  So, there’s a lot of excitement, but also restraint as we continue to ask, “is there anybody out there?”
