I've found that the best way to fight weight gain is to view food as fuel and preferably eat the highest octane and fuel enhancers I can find. (At least that's what I tell myself when it's not holiday season.) Ha.
But in the search for nutrition the BBC published a list of 100 most nutritious foods and it’s a fun and informing read.
The researchers used food values of the USDA and calorie content was listed along with nutrients and then each food given a numerical value. No surprise that 78% of the most nutritious foods are vegetarian. Lots of different fish on the list. And among the top values…nuts. Particularly walnuts and almonds. Take a look.
