A couple of stories in this Christmas season have us shaking our heads on Houston's Morning News. Really we shouldn't be surprised in this era of hysteria over symbols and shaming their history by the standards or politics of today.
We've talked about the Red Kettle campaigns of the Salvation Army and stores being pressured into denying them sidewalk space....atheists and secularists at work on that.
Now news that Grand Central Station in New York has banned its traditional mistletoe...saying it is an invitation to sexual assault. okay.
But deeming "Jingle Bells" as racist? A professor at Boston University touts some 19th century history for that. Will the tune now be shamed out of existence?
