We call it Black Friday, that day after Thanksgiving that often puts retailers solidly into the black on revenues. But as we talked with experts on Houston's Morning News, it's evolving. Black Friday is ever becoming more about those doorbuster and special deals that are meant to draw the customers into the stores.

Our experts were pretty cut and dried about all the sales and numbers involved, and somewhat cynical of the spirit of what traditionally has been a holiday tradition of getting out, mingling, looking at the lights and decorations and store windows....all the stuff we now experience, I guess, on our smartphones and laptops....watching nostalgic movies of what the Season used to be.
