Veterans Day is typically a day to show the Flag and to honor those who bear and have borne the burden of liberty that flag represents.

The day originally Armistice Day to mark the end of World War I, the war which was supposed to end all wars.

Now approaching 2 decades since 9/11, our troops scattered in war across the globe, public debate about the flag itself, can we for one day ignore the politics, and simply recognize and honor our soldiers today and in all the years before? If not veterans ourselves, maybe you are the son, daughter, granddaughter, great granddaughter or more of the liberty secured by them.
