Texans have a certain sensibility of seeing things and are known to observe, “that ain’t right” about all manner of events and their outcomes. Houston Texan J.J. Watt, breaking his leg in play on Sunday, out again for the season, seems to qualify for the quote with an exclamation point!
Watt tweeted that he’s devastated by this outcome from his intense devotion to playing his all. We’re devastated too, as fans of his power on the field, but even more, his power to rally this city in the height of Hurricane Harvey devastation . We are devastated for him.
J.J. Watt is larger than the NFL he plays for…to us. He’s a true Houston folk hero. Watt also tweeted apologies to his team and this city for not being able to play.
