Rising to the occasion...it's what we do, or at least try to do...when trying occasions present themselves.
The greatest natural disaster on American soil occurred in Texas during this hurricane season. A season still ongoing. And then there's the aftermath of Harvey. That might be a never-ending story. Our recovery not only occurs in stages, it occurs at different speeds for different neighborhoods and even neighbors.
Those who have their feet and minds back on dry, firm ground will need some reminders, probably, that there are so many others still caught in the struggle of comeback. That's going to require some never-ending patience and understanding.
