In today's world of virtual realities, artificial intelligence, billions of people across the planet communicating with each other on handheld computers...a walk on the Moon is almost prosaic, like a walk in the park.

Hard to explain to today's young, what awe and excitement and pride were generated by that achievement on July 20, 1969. In so many ways, the reality was beyond our wildest dreams. In making that leap for mankind, Americans through astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin set the course for the world of technology we know and take for granted today.

Have you seen the photos from the weightless Japanese drone aboard ISS?

We were mired in dispute and war on Earth in 1969, but that walk on the Moon proved what dreams, direction and bravery can really accomplish.
