It's hot time in Texas...per usual...it is summer...this week. The summer solstice is always something of a feint to me. The long, hot days of summer truly beginning just as the length of the day is shrinking again. Doesn't make much sense. But it's a good thing, that shrinking. The great blessing of the relentless Gulf Coast steamy humidity is the Gulf breeze on summer evenings and those evenings arriving earlier each day…because experience teaches we have many more months of this still ahead.
Texans have been making this point for a long time….it is generally always a hot time in Texas.
