Shooters and singers raised tens of thousands of dollars in one evening at the Camp Hope Clays Classic to benefit the PTSD Foundation. It was an incredible event to be a part of...in my case representing iHeartMedia's support of this help for our military heroes.
Local restaurants provided an outstanding buffet. Tracy Byrd and his band revved up the crowd with award-winning music that segued into a spirited, high dollar auction of his autograph on a guitar....other items like a "tommy" gun, a bottle of the coveted Pappy Van Winkle bourbon, hunting trips to South America...and a silent auction too really raised the stakes.
I've now lined up my own lessons with top shooter Haley Dunn and got to hug the fiddler of the night Dale Morris, Jr. .....a lifelong friend. just a great night!
