President Trump 'Condemns' Violent Parody Video Played At Miami Conference

The White House says that President Donald Trump has not watched a violent doctored video that features him killing the politicians, celebrities, and media organizations, but he has been briefed on it and "strongly condemns" it.

The video is a doctored version of the church massacre scene from the movie Kingsman: The Secret Service. In the video, the main character, played by Colin Firth, violently and brutally kills a congregation full of parishioners. In the doctored video, Firth's head is replaced with the head of President Trump, while the victims have other celebrities, politicians, or the logos of news organizations superimposed over their faces.

CNN, the Washington PostPBSNBC, and the Huffington Post are some of the organizations that suffer violent deaths, as do Hillary Clinton, John McCain, and President Barack Obama

The video was shown "in a side room" at an American Priority conference at Trump's Doral Miami resort and features the Trump 2020 campaign logo. Tim Murtaugh, the spokesman for Trump's campaign, said the "video was not produced by the campaign, and we do not condone violence." According to the Associated Pressthe video was posted on YouTube in July 2018, where it has been viewed over 100,000 times.

The White House Correspondents Association issued a statement saying it was "horrified" by the video.

"All Americans should condemn this depiction of violence directed toward journalists and the President's political opponents," said Jonathan Karl, WHCA president. "We have previously told the President his rhetoric could incite violence. Now we call on him and everybody associated with this conference to denounce this video and affirm that violence has no place in our society."
