The Greenwood Police Department says that around 6 p.m. Sunday a lone suspect entered the food court of the Greenwood Park Mall in Indiana.
The suspect then shot into the mall, killing three people and injuring two more.
An armed Good Samarian was able to put down and stop the shooter.
Greenwood Police Chief James Ison says about the Good Samaritan:
"the real hero of the day is the citizen that was lawfully carrying a firearm in that food court and was able to stop the shooter almost as soon as he began.”
Ison says the shooter was alone and had a rifle and several magazines of ammunition.
Ridiculously, the local media in Indianapolis is actually attacking the Good Samaritan because he didn’t follow mall rules and was carrying.
Seriously.
This is the headline from Fox 59:
The media loves mass shootings.
