Ex-con Austin Simon goes around the store counter and attacks clerk Jose Alba after they argument.
Alba defends himself and now he faces murder charges.
Even NYC Mayor Eric Adams is standing up for Alba, saying he doesn’t deserve murder charges.

Outside the bodega later Thursday, Adams told a group of reporters that Simon’s actions were “inappropriate” and declared that he is on the side of “innocent” New York City residents who follow the law — rather than those who break it.
“We have enough people who are there for people who break the law,” he said. “As I saw it, from the video, I saw a worker here following the law, and he should not have been approached in the manner that he was approached.”
“It’s time for New Yorkers and Americans to start standing up for people who follow the law, and that’s what I’m going to do.””
