Remember last year when a video went viral showing a tiger roaming free in a West Houston neighborhood.
“Tiger Dude” Victor Cuevas was arrested and charged for fleeing with the tiger after po-po was called.
It was revealed that at the time of the incident, Cuevas was free on bond for murder.
This week, Cuevas was convicted for a 2017 shooting that left one man dead in the 5600 block of W. Grand Parkway.
Our news department here at KTRH reports:
"Cuevas was accused of shooting Oseikhuemen Omobhude, 20, several times on July 14, 2017, in a restaurant parking lot near Richmond. Prosecutors said Omobhude died after being taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Katy.
Cuevas received massive media coverage on May 10, 2021, with a tiger named India. He was out on bond for the murder charge when India got loose in a neighborhood near the eastern edge of Barker Reservoir. Cuevas, who collected the tiger in his Jeep and fled from Houston police, was later found and charged with evading arrest. His bond was revoked, but he was later released from a Fort Bend County Jail."
