Video of the old woman stopping an alleged shoplifter is going viral.
The incident, which happened Saturday morning, is from a Walmart in Northwest British Columbia.
In the video, a man is seen taking a shopping cart full of goods out of the store, stopping briefly to grab his bicycle.
The person shooting the video asks the man if he’s going to pay for the goods, and the man in the says, “yeah,” then tries to leave the store without paying.
The elderly woman then blocks the man’s cart as she yells at him “excuse me!”.
She then pulls off the man’s masks, telling him “I’m fed up with this bull—t!”
Another man steps in and pulls the cart away from the wannbe-shoplifter.
The elderly woman then tells the man “get out! You just jack up the price for everybody else … it’s about time they got caught.”
Police say they are still investigating the incident, but confirm the video’s authenticity.
A police spokesman says there is a high level of frustration in the community due to a string of crimes and people are fed-up.
