Man Arrested For The Murder Of A Harris County Deputy Is In US Illegally

Oscar Rosales, the man accused of shooting and killing a Harris County Precinct 5 Constable's Corporal Charles Galloway during a traffic stop was taken into custody yesterday in Ciudad de Acuña, Mexico.

He was flown back here to Houston and went before a judge last night.

Holly Hansen at The Texans reports that Oscar Rosales, “entered the U.S. illegally”.

Bob Price with Breitbart Texas is also reporting that immigration officials confirmed that Rosales “was illegally present in the United States at the time of the alleged murder.”

Price reports:

“In response to an inquiry from Breitbart Texas, a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement official stated that Jose Oscar Rosales, a 50-year-old citizen of El Salvador, “previously illegally entered the U.S. on an unknown dates and at an unknown location without inspection or parole by U.S. Immigration officials and later fled to Mexico after allegedly murdering a Harris County Constable’s Office deputy.”
On Wednesday, ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations officers filed an immigration detainer on Rosales with the Val Verde Sheriff’s Office in Del Rio, Texas.”

Rosales’ common-law wife, Reina Pereira-Marquez and her brother, Henri Mauricio Pereira-Marquez, have also been charged with tampering/fabricating physical evidence.

Investigators say the paid were found cleaning the vehicle they said Rosales was driving the night of the shooting.
