Houston Police Chief Troy Finner says they have video evidence showing 51-year-old Oscar Rosales shooting Pct. 5 Cpl. Charles Galloway.
Rosales remains on the run, he has been charged with capital murder and it considered “armed & dangerous”.
Two family members of Rosales have already been arrested and charged with tampering of evidence.
“Finner said they've recovered the white Toyota Avalon that the killer was driving when Cpl. Galloway was gunned down in the 9100 block of Beechnut Street.
The chief said two of the suspect's relatives -- common-law wife Reina Marquez and her brother Henri Marquez -- are charged with tampering with evidence in connection with the case. Finner said they were tampering with the Toyota Avalon that Rosales was driving, which has since been recovered. Both are in custody and being held on $100,000 bonds.
Court records show both Reina Marquez and Henri Marquez were arrested on Sunday.
“Anybody who’s assisting him, a felon, and they know he’s a felon wanted for capital murder, we’re coming out for them as well,” Finner said.”
Police also say the name “Oscar Rosales” is likely an alias.
And thus they admit they don’t know his citizenship status or his true criminal history.
A reward of up to $60K is being offered for tips leading to his capture.
