A Call Out For Volunteers At Gallery Furniture To Help With Supplies For The People Of Louisiana
Mac at Gallery Furniture has once again stepped up to help coordinate getting much-needed supplies to the New Orleans area.
The Czar writes we are in need of volunteers at Gallery Furniture:
“if you are a retiree or have the day off or can take the day off we need staffing at Gallery furniture in the parking lot...starting at 9 AM. Just show up and comfortable clothes and prepare to sweat. No job is too small. Show up with a willing spirit and we will put you to work doing something it won’t be glamorous...”
In addition, the Czar writes:
“Louisiana is asking if it all possible if we can send some folks to help unload our trucks because they will be short staffed. If you were able to drive and spend several hours unloading you are golden and very valuable to us right now in these efforts. If you are one of those people then show up at gallery furniture tomorrow morning at nine and be ready to drive to grand Isle or Fourchon or wherever we send you and work and then come back. I’m not worried about whether we have enough donations of products and things I am worried about the staffing to get everything done. If you are able to help don’t contact me just show up at gallery furniture...(at 9am this morning). It is inspiring to read the messages I have received today. I just heard from an 81-year-old man who asked if it would be OK for him to show up And help. He said I’m not very strong but I have a big heart. I literally started crying. Unbelievable. Just unbelievable.”
