During Sunday’s Rockies game, a fan was overheard on the broadcast yelling for the Rockies mascot, “Dinger”.
Of course, the media and woke left heard the 'n-word' because they love pushing stories with racial angles. It’s easy clicks.
Marlins play-by-play voice Paul Severino immediately apologized for the language heard on Bally Sports Florida.
The Rockies later stated they had a “zero tolerance for any form of racism” and were investigating the incident. The Rockies even put out a statement saying they were “disgusted at the racial slur by a fan directed at Marlins’ Lewis Brinson”.
Media outlets including the New York Times, The Washington Post, CNN, the AP, USA Today, ESPN, etc are trafficked in the misinformation. Where’s their social media suspensions?
As Drew Holden writes, “it is emblematic of an enormous problem with the corporate press. Information that sounds right to a journalist is increasingly treated as fact, and we’re all poorer for it.”
After an investigation, the Rockies determined that there was no racial slur was hurled.
The Rockies didn’t apologize to the fan who their smeared, saying in a statement:
“after a thorough investigation that included calls, e-mails and video clips from concerned fans, media and broadcast partners, the Colorado Rockies have concluded that the fan was indeed yelling for Rockies mascot Dinger in hopes of getting his attention for a photo, and there was never any racial slur that occurred.
The Rockies remain dedicated to providing an inclusive environment for all fans, players and guests at Coors Field, and any fan using derogatory language of any kind will be ejected from Coors Field.”
Nice job all around folks. Let’s just keep libeling folks by playing these silly racial gotcha games.
