The White House tried later play clean up by editing the transcripts of his remarks. Apparently he meat to say COVAX, not COVID.
COVAX is an initiative aimed at equitable access to coronavirus vaccines.
Also during that G7 press conference Biden once again revealed that “I'm going to get in trouble with staff” if I don’t call from pre-approved list of reporters.
Probably the strangest moment came at the end when he was asked by a reporter, “when you’re having these conversations with European allies who are very concerned about these sanctions, how do you justify that? And what are your plans for —
