Yesterday, we discussed how Navy SEAL Morgan Luttrell filed paperwork to run for congress.
Today he officially announced on the Michael Berry Show that he’s running for Congress in Texas' 8th Congressional District.
He told the Czar, “I’m running for Congress for the very same reason that I served in the military, for our country and to support and defend the constitution of the United States period”.
In the wide-ranging interview he discussed what led he and his twin brother, Marcus, to become SEALs, he deployments, the injuries he sustained while serving and what he’s been doing since retiring from the military.
Luttrell said about serving in DC:
“I will certainly not lose sight of where I come from...I’ve had people try to kill me before and, working in DC even though you could say the proverbial threat is going to be there, I think humility and patience if you can and doing what’s best for us and my district and this country as conservatives.”
