Nothing to see here folks, move along.
The two guard who were supposed to be monitoring Epstein on the night he allegedly killed himself and then lied about what they were doing have reached a plea deal with prosecutors that keeps them out of jail.
The agreement with Tova Noel and Michael Thomas, who literally fell asleep on the job at the Metropolitan Correctional Center, was disclosed in a letter to the judge overseeing their case.
Prosecutors write “after a thorough investigation, and based on the facts of this case and the personal circumstances of the defendants, the Government has determined that the interests of justice will best be served by deferring prosecution.”
Noel & Thomas will be on supervised released along with community service in exchange for their cooperation with the DOJ.
