Remember during the presidential campaign, the media pushed the Biden talking point that he was the moderate Democrat in the field.
This week in his address to congress he detailed an additional $6 trillion in new spending.The New York Times says it reflects “an ambition to restore the federal government to the role it played during the New Deal and Great Society.”
A lot was made about Sen. Ted Cruz nodding off during the speech.
On Twitter “Ted Snooze” was even trending.
Speaking to the Czar this morning, Sen. Cruz says he summed up the speech in three words “boring but radical.”
He says, “I mean, look I feel asleep during the speech and to be honest I’m amazed I stayed awake during any of it.”
He tells the Czar:
“...it was designed to be soporific, to lull people to sleep...
It is designed to be a mask to hide the most radical agenda any president has rolled out in history. And Biden, I think, has made a decision, he’s given the Democrat party over to the crazy left to Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren and AOC.
So he rolls out $6 trillion in new spending. I joke ‘dear God, I hope nobody tells Democrats what comes after a trillion.’I mean, these numbers are staggering...if you pay taxes, your taxes are going up. He wants to raise taxes on everything...
Biden is at this point, the most partisan president we’ve ever had based on the substance and how he’s approaching politics.”
