So you can vote & die for this country at 18, but you are not mature enough to buy cigarettes and now possibly become a stripper.
Activist are pushing the Texas State Legislature to raise the minimum age for a stripper to 21.
Nissi Hamilton and Jessica Wesley are former strippers that are now demanding that Texas raise the minimum age for exotic dancers to 21.
Just as former smokers are the most annoying anti-smoking activists, apparently former strippers are just as annoying toward their former profession.
In their testimony to Texas lawmakers, Hamilton and Wesley say minors who work at sexually oriented businesses are given alcohol and drugs.
Well, that’s a completely different issue. Minors working at sexually oriented business is already ILLEGAL.
They also claim that stripper clubs are breeding grounds for human trafficking.
KVUE reports: "The Texas Attorney General’s office testified in a House Committee on April 9, stating that raising the minimum age would help law enforcement spot trafficking of minors.” Bullcrap. You can’t tell that someone is 21 or 17 just by looking at them."
Houston Democrat Rep. Shawn Theirry claims the move is raise the stripper age is all about fighting “the scourge of human trafficking and this is one more tool in the toolkit to protect our vulnerable youth.”
How about we leave the strippers alone and quite vilifying their line of work that gives many much pleasure & enjoyment.
