Gov. Ron DeSantis says he will take executive action this week, banning “vaccine passports” requirement that local government could potentially impose.
He said at a press conference yesterday:
“it’s completely unacceptable for either the government or the private sector to impose upon you the requirement that you show proof of vaccine to just simply participate in normal society...I think this is something that has huge privacy implications. It is not necessary to do.”
He stressed that the public still has “certain freedoms and individual liberties”.
Last week, New York Gov. Cuomo announced they would be implementing a vaccine passport program while the Washington Post reported that Biden is looking at creating one at the federal level.
